We ordered a little ahead of time and everything was ready right on time. Our hot items were still nice and warm, sushi still cool.
The sushi and sashimi were very good and reasonably priced. The Diamond plate is absolutely beautiful to behold; a real feast for the eyes!
Spicy salmon rolls were very tasty but could be spicier - personal preference.
Gyōza was good, fairly flavourful. Spring rolls were crisp and perfect size but bland and oily.
Edamame was limp and and not a nice, vibrant green but that's probably because of the plastic take out container. Either way though, it needed more salt. I would try it again if we dined in though. Was a good portion for like $6.
All the dipping sauces, wasabi, pickled ginger, etc. were very good.
Really appreciate that they use compostable clamshell containers for take out. Also like that I can order online on the website instead of being pushed to a delivery app. The prices on the apps are higher.
Overall, we'd definitely eat here again! Looking forward to trying some different dishes next time.

Easy to order online, food was delicious! maki rolls had a nice amount of fish. Staff were friendly upon pick up. Looking forward to ordering again!

Tasty sushi and great value. Zen house has become our new go to spot in Halifax. There’s a loading zone in front of it for takeout

I had the Zen House Roll, this was everything I like, with mango, salmon, avacado and more. Good portion size, friendly staff and great atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

This new Japanese restaurant on Brenton St. Halifax is fantastic! The food is delicious and nicely presented. The service is great, they are so polite and friendly. The portions are fair and if you want to grab a quick meal, go for the appetizers: Deep fried Wontons with pork, Chicken Karaage, Pork Katsu, Spring Rolls are all super delicious! Their sushi rolls are fantastic too: Sweet Love Rolls are amazing with yam, avocado & cream cheese.
